Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 13, 2026

1. Who we are

PowerID, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“PowerID,” “we,” “us”), provides screening-level intelligence about US power infrastructure for clean energy developers. This policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit our website, apply for the beta, or use the PowerID platform (together, the “Service”).

2. Information we collect

  • Information you provide. Beta and partner applications (name, work email, company, role, and anything you write in free-text fields), account credentials, and support correspondence.
  • Customer Data. Geospatial and other data you upload to the platform (e.g., lease boundaries, parcels, GIS layers) and the analyses you run on it.
  • Usage and device information. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, searches and map interactions, and timestamps, collected to operate and secure the Service.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage for authentication and session state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Review beta and partner applications and communicate with you about them.
  • Run the analyses you request, including AI-assisted analysis.
  • Monitor for abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with law and protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How we share information

We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations: cloud hosting and content delivery, database and authentication infrastructure, mapping and geocoding services, email delivery, and a third-party AI service provider that processes the prompts and data you submit to AI-assisted features in order to generate results. We may also disclose information to comply with law, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent.

Customer Data is used to provide the Service to you. We do not use your Customer Data to build products for other customers, and we do not permit our AI service provider to use it to train their models.

5. Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above: application records while we evaluate and operate the beta, account and Customer Data while your account is active (deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after closure), and log data for a limited period for security and debugging. We may retain information longer where required by law.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation for Customer Data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

7. Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to certain processing, by emailing privacy@power.id. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EEA/UK), you may have additional statutory rights, which we will honor as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. You can opt out of non-essential emails via the link in any such email.

8. Children

The Service is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date, and where required we will provide additional notice.
